Look who is 1 today!!!

Our precious boy turned 1 today! He really is just another bundle of love in our family. We celebrated his birthday at a friend's house (the only way to go...get their house full of cake crumbs;). Well let's just say he's a sugar fanatic like the rest of us because he loves cake! When he saw the lighted candle, he didn't even attempt to blow it out. Instead he extinguished the flame with his fingers - and didn't even cry! We'll have to teach how to blow it out next time around so that he doesn't end up burning his fingers.
Kyle you are so loved. We are so grateful to Heavenly Father for you.

Some reasons I love Missoula

My mother always taught me to focus on the positive things in life. It has always been difficult for me to see the good in something probably because it requires more effort. Moving to Missoula has definitely been a challenge. We're still trying to find a house and it's super cold and we miss our friends and family back "home."
However, today I would like to focus on some of the positives of moving here.

1. More family time. Katie and Sharon have always been good to each other but this move seems to have made them best friends (but they are still normal siblings and so they have normal sibling rivalry).
2. Dan and I have more quality time together.
3. This beautiful home with the spectacular views. I don't think I realize how lucky I am to live in such beauty. It really is a dream home!
4. Friends. We already feel like we've made some amazing friends.
5. We love the people here. They are so friendly. They love children and will often ask to hold Kyle (do you blame them).
6. The Carousel for Missoula (we love it). It's cheap and it's the best carousel I've ever been on. All the horses and dragon are hand carved by a famous artist.

I HEART this man!

The other day I was just lying in bed (a rare occasion with 3 kids:) and I was thinking about the 33 reasons why I love you! IT WAS EASY!
There were so many reasons for example your pure wonderfulness (I know that's not a word mom)but if it were it would be perfect for you.
Today is special because it was the day you were born. I will always and forever be grateful to the Lord for you DANIEL JAY COMBS.
Thanks for everything and happy birthday.
P.S. We're getting older but man I'm still twitterpated by you!

Our 1st VISITORS...

What would life be without good friends? It was such a treat to have our good friends the Kinsgley's spend a weekend with us in Missoula. It was freezing outside but it felt so warm and cozy here. We love you guys thanks for all the laughs!
